Must-Have :

PIV starts

NG tube placement / management

Pleurx drains

Management of various surgical drains

Chest tube management

Cardiac rhythm interpretation

Non-titratable cardiac drips

Description :

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit.

The position is focused on transitioning from Med / Tele to PCU care.

Common patient diagnoses include heart failure, chest pain, and COPD.

Patients may require fluid resuscitation and blood products.

The nurse-patient ratio is 1 : 4-5 in Med / Tele and 1 : 4 in PCU.

Support staff will assist with activities of daily living and mobility.

The unit uses an EMR system for documentation and a variety of medical equipment.

Nurses will be required to float to other facilities as needed.

Weekend rotations and holiday work are expected.

Up to 6 days off may be approved, excluding holidays.
