Brockwell & Carrington Contractors, Inc., a leader in New Jersey’s public-sector construction, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee ground-up public works projects exceeding $15 million in value. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a results-driven professional with a strong track record in delivering large, complex building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project delivery, from preconstruction through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Oversee contract administration, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Coordinate effectively with the owner, design team, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Monitor construction progress through regular site visits and meetings with field staff.
- Partner with superintendents to align field operations with budget and schedule goals.
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear, professional communication with the owner and project partners.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience managing large public construction projects ($15M+).Strong knowledge of NJ public procurement, prevailing wage, and DPMC / NJEDA procedures.Proficiency in reviewing Architectural, Structural, Civil, and MEP documents.Experience with CPM scheduling and construction cost controls.Advanced proficiency in project management and construction software : Autodesk Build (preferred), Procore, Primavera, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Excel.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting RFIs, submittals, and formal correspondence.Compensation & Benefits
