Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract Location : Charleston, SC (South Carolina nursing jobs) Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 16, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Shifts : 3x12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 – 19 : 30), including holiday rotation Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend On-Call : 12 hours per 4-week period Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 Charting System : EPIC Unit : Labor & Delivery (17 beds, 21 rooms, daily census ~12) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1530 - $1640 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (labor and delivery nursing jobs preferred) Active South Carolina or Multi-State / Compact RN license (license in hand preferred; pending considered with proof of application) Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Experience in high-risk antepartum, teaching hospital settings, triage, high-risk deliveries, and C-section recovery Proficiency with Epic charting system First-time travel nurses welcome Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient care to laboring mothers, including high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients Perform triage of obstetrical patients and assist with high-risk deliveries Provide post C-section recovery care and circulate for C-section procedures Utilize and calibrate intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC) and maintain central lines (CVC / PICC) Administer medications such as anticoagulants, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy Conduct sterile vaginal exams and follow isolation precautions / PPE protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services Participate in self-scheduling and maintain flexibility for unit needs, including on-call and weekend shifts Charleston, SC is a premier destination for healthcare professionals, offering a unique blend of historic charm and modern amenities.
