Work hours : Full-time nights, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7 : 00 pm – 7 : 00 am
Labor And Delivery Unit Department Highlights
- Texas Health Alliance is a Texas 10-step designated facility.
- 14 LDR Rooms
- 4 OB / ED bays – with OB Hospitalists 24 / 7
- 2 OR suites
- Average between 160 deliveries per month and increasing.
- 24 bed Postpartum / Newborn, couplet care
- Level III Maternal designation
- Level III NICU
Here’s What You Need
Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferredCLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalencyRN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire requiredBCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly requiredACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of hireNRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire ReqNRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hireCPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training maintained annually within 90 days of hire1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program ReqAt least 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferredWhat You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patientPlans the care of the patientIntervenes as appropriateEvaluates the effectiveness of interventionsIncorporates age specific safety / infection control measures into patient care.Initiates action to meet patient and / or significant others need for informationMaintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.Additional Perks Of Being a Texas Health
