We are actively seeking a qualified, experienced, and talented designer to join our growing team!

Who are we? At Madison-based Huston Design, a creative design & marketing firm, you can make an impact by growing businesses and brands through print, digital design & marketing. We have been in business for over 25 years and specialize in elevating the fantastic organizations that we support through graphic design for print and digital, website design, email marketing, content marketing, and social media. We also help shape our community through serving many non-profit organizations - including arts, culture, science, and environmental groups.

We take pride in having a flexible, fun, and collaborative work environment and are looking for an ambitious self-starter who can become an integral part of our team.

We are located just off of Willy Street, which boasts a thriving, eclectic community, and we're situated along the Capital City bike trail - just blocks from Lake Monona.

Role Responsibilities

  • Create hell-yeah identity systems and brand applications (digital, print, environmental, packaging, experiential) in a collaborative environment; you will often lead these projects and will hold responsibility for the executed design deliverables
  • Art direction of other designers
  • Develop monthly and seasonal campaigns that engage the client’s audience and stay true to their brand
  • Design brochures, ads, annual reports, billboards, magazines, pitch decks, web ads, etc. with proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma (to name a few)
  • Design front-end web interfaces that are unique and intuitive
  • Work directly with clients to fulfill the creative vision that matches their business and project goals
  • Be involved in all aspects of design and client relations

    • Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position
  • Creative skill set that is second to none
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as individually
  • The ability to pick up new tech quickly
  • Creative thinking skills
  • Ability to interpret and contribute to high-level strategy and apply it to the task at hand
  • Good listening and distillation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to shift, be flexible

    • Need to know

  • Salary, $70k depending on experience
  • Full-time Position
  • In-Person, mostly.
  • Paid time off
