This is a newly created position in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The Manager will report to the Senior Accounting Manager. You will be an organized and proficient individual who will manage and review the work product of Senior Accountants including payroll and benefit and revenue recognition entries, accounting analysis and project tasks, as well as month-end accounting close and reconciliations. You will demonstrate a keen eye for detail and work closely with Senior Accountants to ensure daily and monthly tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner and have a proven ability to work with large data sets and automation efforts. You must display the ability to manage independently and confidently handle escalations in a timely manner as well knowing when escalation is necessary. You will be able to provide excellent support to team members as well as partners outside the broader finance team, including HR, Legal, Manufacturing, Research, etc.
Job Responsibilities
Manage Senior Accountant responsible for daily and monthly accounting entries including revenue recognition, payroll and benefits, fixed assets, and amortization of prepaids.
Work to increase efficiency and organization of schedules used for reconciliations, including integration reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of data migrations.
Play a leadership role in the monthly, quarterly and year end process by reviewing and approving final reconciliations and journal entries.
Ensure that Senior Accountants keep accurate records of account entries by compiling and analyzing accounting activities.
Support the external reporting process, coordinating with the external reporting team to ensure that key inputs are provided timely.
Other tasks and ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Significant and progressive experience working in accounting experience.
Substantial payroll and benefits related experience.
Must possess a strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.
Strong analytical and Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.
Experience with ERP systems.
Attention to detail and accuracy and ability to manage time effectively.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities with deadlines, without sacrificing quality.
Ability to thrive in fast paced environment.
Flexibility in approach to performing job responsibilities.
Possess a mind-set to utilize technology to increase efficiencies.
Ability to develop workstream / project plan, communicate plan effectively to relevant parties and drive adherence to due dates.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven project management skills and drives organizational change (includes leading process improvement initiatives)
Preferred Experience
Bachelor's degree. Accounting degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience.
Minimum 5 years of payroll and benefit related experience.
Public Accounting background and / or CPA preferred but not required.
Knowledge of 842 Lease Accounting and ASC 606 Revenue preferred but not required.

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $100,000.00 - $137,500.00 per year. Actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and knowledge.
