The Opportunity
As a System Engineer, you will be part of a team developing and supporting an interactive TechELINT processing system. You will also support development teams working on parts of the system. The service will allow interactive control of system resources, automatic and on-demand routing of data, display of system status, and the team develops and maintains RESTful services and web-based thin-client software applications.
Responsibilities
Support and maintain an operational system. Monitor system status. Investigate and help resolve system issues.Provide on-call off hours supportDevise test plans and proceduresCoordinate and conduct system testsDevelop and implement metrics to monitor system performanceWrite documentation for CONOPS, use cases, system designs, interfaces, test plans and test proceduresGather requirements, needs and desires for the system from stakeholdersTranslate requirements into CONOPS and use casesWork with the development team to come up with designs, utilizing and adapting existing capabilitiesBecome an expert in collection resources capabilities and use that knowledge to inform designs. Apply expertise to assist development teamEvaluate software implementation of algorithmsWork with customer representatives to gather input, ensure understanding, and allow them to monitor progressRequired Qualifications
Familiarity or experience with SIGINT processing systemsSystem engineering experience – system design, documentation, system verification and validationUnderstanding of RF collection systems. Basic understanding of RF receiversBasic familiarity with software development – able to read, understand and provide feedback on source codeExperience working with a software development teamLinux / Unix proficiencyTS / SCI clearance, willing to complete CI PolyCertifications such as Security+ or CISSP, or willing to attain themDesired Qualifications
Experience with system testingWorking in Agile and DevOps / DevSecOps processesSoftware development skills / experience – Python, Go / Golang, JavaScript or JavaInterface design, security principles, object-oriented design, web servicesFamiliarity with micro-service architecturesFamiliarity with software components such as Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, RabbitMQFamiliarity with development tools such as Git / Bitbucket, Confluence / Jira, Gitlab, AnsibleExperience working in cloud environments (AWS)Familiarity with signal processing software applicationsWhat You Can Expect

Pay Range
The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is : $94,400 - $198,200.
