American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for outpatient diagnostics, requiring ARRT, BLS, and a valid WA license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a high-volume outpatient mammography settingPatient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patientsProcedures include 3D mammography, screening and diagnostic mammograms, fine needle aspirations, needle localizations, and stereotactic breast biopsyUse of various x-ray and mammography-specific equipmentDepartment operates Monday–Friday, 7 : 00am–5 : 00pm, and Saturday, 8 : 00am–4 : 30pmDay shifts are scheduled as 5x8 hours, typically 8 : 30am–5 : 00pmEpic EMR system is used and prior experience is requiredMust be open to floating between different campuses within the stateFirst-time travelers are accepted for this positionAll new techs must complete 25 observed exams before working independentlyResponsible for maintaining required MQSA and FDA quality control activitiesA minimum 3-month separation is required for former permanent Providence employees to return as travelersCandidates must have reliable transportation and be prepared to meet all scheduling needsAll RTO (requested time off) must be declared prior to submission; additional requests after submission may not be accommodatedScrub attire or dress code details will be provided upon assignment\n \n Requirements\n
Active Washington state (WA) license required if applicableCurrent ARRT and BLS certifications are mandatoryMinimum of 1 year experience required; 2 years full-time mammography experience strongly preferredProficiency in producing high quality screening and diagnostic mammogramsAbility to perform special procedures in conjunction with physician staffTwo supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years in a similar setting\n Benefits\n
