The Department of Radiology and Radiologic Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is recruiting for a new leadership opportunity within our Community Radiology Section. The Vice Chair of Community Radiology will be responsible for leading and growing the community radiology service at the largest comprehensive health system in the mid-South region. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, the enterprise sees more than 3 million patient visits a year. The Community Radiology faculty provide clinical services to the patients located at our regionally based hospitals. As a section member, you will have the opportunity to focus on your primary sub-specialty, if applicable, as well as interpret other modalities.
Position Summary :
- Deliver leadership and operational oversight to the Community Radiology Section, which offers a c ombination of subspecialty and general radiology services
- Provide services to VUMC regional hospitals (Wilson, Bedford, Tullahoma)
- Foster the development of a community-based Advance Practice Provider model to enhance the radiologist workflow and support patient care initiatives.

- Daily clinical work includes interpretation of diagnostic studies

Position Requirements :
Fellowship training in one of the following is encouraged, but not required : Abdominal Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Neuroradiology and / or Breast ImagingHold an MD or equivalent degreeABR eligible / certifiedEligible for TN license5 years from completion of trainingComfort / willingness to perform routine fluoroscopy / CT / US guided procedures is a plusBenefits :
