Job Summary :

The State of South Carolina is seeking a Network Engineer to serve as a Senior Cloud Security Engineer. This is a hybrid role requiring two days of on-site work in Columbia, South Carolina, with the remaining three days remote. The initial contract is for 12 months with a possibility of extension.

Location : Columbia, South Carolina, United States

Washington, District of Columbia, United States

Responsibilities :

  • Manage and maintain network security infrastructure.
  • Implement and configure firewalls in AWS and Azure environments.
  • Work with Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Certifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience with firewalls in AWS.
  • 5+ years of experience with firewalls in Azure.
  • 5+ years of experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Candidates local to South Carolina are required.

    • Preferred Skills & Certifications :

  • Candidates local to Georgia or North Carolina will be considered if they are willing to relocate to South Carolina at their own expense.

    • Special Considerations :

  • Hybrid work model : 2 days in office, 3 days remote.
  • Candidates previously submitted to requisition 7354 or 7702 will not be considered.

    • Scheduling :

  • 40 hours per week.
  • Standard business hours.
