American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Baltimore, Maryland.

Job Description\n

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a surgical ICU position requiring at least two years of recent surgical ICU experience and previous travel assignments.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a 20-bed adult surgical ICU within a hospital setting
  • Serve a diverse patient population including trauma, transplant, vascular, GI, ortho-spine, and oncology cases
  • Care for ICU and post-surgical patients including ENT, GI Surgery, Trauma, Ortho / Neuro Spine procedures, and General Surgery
  • Uses Epic EMR; experience with Epic preferred
  • Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts (7A / 7P)
  • Float as needed to units with similar skill requirements
  • Responsible for providing specialized nursing care to a variety of complex surgical and critical care patients
  • Team-based environment within the Department of Surgery
  • Orientation date provided prior to assignment start
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
  • Holiday and weekend coverage may be required

  • Active MD or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • At least 2 years of recent surgical ICU experience required
  • Completion of at least 2 previous travel assignments required
  • Experience in a facility with at least 500 beds required
  • ACLS, Critical Care certification, trauma course, and Epic experience preferred
