Compliance Engineer II

Do you have an eye for detail and a passion for developing innovation solutions? Join our team! We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization meets the requirements of the NIST800-171 framework and the CMMC Program. The Compliance Engineer role will be focused on ensuring IT assets, systems, and services meet legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Control Owner(s) for the collection of evidence in support of compliance requirements
• Assists or implements remediations when gaps or non-compliant controls are identified
• Partners with Control Owner(s) and Cybersecurity Analysts to update control documentation
• Establish test standards, conduct tests, and analyze results
• Identify areas to improve audit gaps, productivity, and compliance, including automation opportunities
• Support IT operations teams to assess and fix security vulnerabilities, gaps, and weaknesses across IT infrastructure
• Assist and participates with internal and external compliance audits

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
