Shift : Days, M-F, 8-hour shifts (start time flexible between 6 AM – 10 AM; 35 guaranteed weekly hours)

Position Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions for patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist. The PTA utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions, documents patient progress, and communicates effectively with the supervising PT and healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Essential Duties

Administer treatments per plan of care, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.

Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising PT to adjust treatments.

Report treatment effectiveness and provide input for discharge summaries.

Provide patient, family, and caregiver education regarding physical disorders and rehabilitation.

Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system, including treatment minutes.

Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, and facility trainings.

Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.

Adhere to APTA and state-required practice acts, professional ethics, and code of conduct.

Requirements

1+ years PTA experience – Required

LTC or Rehab experience – Required

Active PTA license – Required

Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team
