Lead Histotechnologist

Location : southeast / seacoast, Maine

Our client is a clinical laboratory that provides comprehensive, dependable, quality laboratory services to hospitals, physicians, long-term care providers, other laboratories and health care organizations throughout Maine and New Hampshire.

The Lead Histotechnologist role is responsible for problem resolution, training of new and existing staff, daily workflow and equipment maintenance. This role functions as a team leader and performs technical procedures resulting in the creation of microscopic slide preparation and is responsible for evaluating, preparing and maintaining these procedures.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree required

Certification as a Histotechnologist by a recognized professional organization (ASCP / National Society for Histotechnology) required within six months of start date. QIHC (Qualification in Immunohistochemistry) preferred.

2+ years of Histology experience required.
