The Category Advisor is responsible for developing and managing key strategic category management initiatives with our Walmart buyers, including the modular relay process and category performance measurement. The successful candidate will be an expert in Walmart modular processes from start to finish inclusive of drawing, automation of placements, modular generation and finalization and end reporting. This is a critical, strategic leadership position within the Category Management team.

Position Requirements :

• Ability to influence and inform category strategies with advanced knowledge of Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising & Pricing that leads to improved category performance.
• Comfortable developing strong relationships with Walmart Buyers and Walmart cross functional partners.
• Prior experience leveraging and informing category, shopper and consumer insights.
• As owner of the Walmart modular relay process, the ability to manage large projects and resources is critical.
• Advanced knowledge of Walmart modular process from start to finish.
• Strong communication and presentation skills at the Executive level. Ability to interact confidently and effectively with team members, management and customer contacts.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment that focuses on solutions.
• Proficiency with common tools of the trade, including space management tools, assortment optimization tools, and MS Office Suite.
• Advanced technical knowledge in JDA (coding / scripting) and Shelf IQ.
• Working knowledge of pulling and analyzing Circana and Scintilla data (Report Builder, Shopper Behavior & Customer Perception).
