Job Description :

Amphenol FSI is seeking a highly qualified CNC Programmer with relevant experience using Esprit software. This position will be responsible for development and optimization of CNC programs for 3-4-5 axis milling, and 7-8 axis turning centers.

Essential Functions :

\n

  • Will need to analyze engineering drawings to define configuration of parts and determine type and sequence of machine operations to program CNC machines

\n

  • Understand and apply appropriate tool applications and work holding techniques to ensure efficient and accurate machining processes.

    • \n

  • Design fixtures and select appropriate tools to meet the specific requirements of each project.

    • \n

  • Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines

    • \n

  • Conduct quality checks using micrometers, bore gauges, and other measuring tools

    • \n

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and planning, to ensure seamless integration of CNC programs into the manufacturing process.

    • \n

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the programming and machining processes.

    • \n

  • Maintain and update CNC programs to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.

    • \n

  • Utilize GD&T principles for accurate part production

    • \n

  • Implement Lean manufacturing practices to improve workflow efficiency

    • \n

  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including ISO and AS9100 where applicable.

    • \n

  • Train and support CNC operators on machine setup and operation.

    • \n \n

    Required Knowledge Skill, and Abilities :

    \n

  • Proficiency in CNC programming utilizing Esprit Software

    • \n

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

    • \n

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machining challenges

    • \n

  • Familiarity with micrometers, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments

    • \n

  • Knowledge of GD&T principles

    • \n

  • Experience with lathe and milling machine operations

    • \n

  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts

    • \n \n

    Required Education and Experience :

    \n

  • Associate degree or vocational training in CNC programming, machining, or related field >

    • 8 year experience

    \n

  • Experience in a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment

    • \n \n

    Work Environment :

    The noise level in the work environment is moderate, typical of a CNC machine production environment.
