RMC is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our Business Development Team. The ideal candidate will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all of RMC’s IT and Cybersecurity capabilities, supporting the design, development, and presentation of complex IT solutions in response to government solicitations and proposals.

This role bridges the gap between technical expertise and business strategy, ensuring that RMC’s technical solutions are compliant, competitive, and aligned with federal customer needs and mission objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with capture managers and proposal teams to develop innovative, compliant, and cost-effective IT and cybersecurity solutions for federal contracts.
  • Serve as the technical SME across RMC’s IT portfolio, including systems engineering, cloud, networks, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT operations.
  • Analyze government requirements (RFPs, RFIs, and SOWs) to translate them into feasible, tailored technical solutions and architectures.
  • Develop solution narratives, diagrams, and technical volume inputs for proposals and white papers.
  • Participate in color team reviews to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Engage directly with customers and industry partners to refine solution approaches.
  • Support internal efforts to enhance RMC’s IT and cybersecurity capabilities, including identification of new technologies and best practices.
  • Contribute to price-to-win analysis and technical risk assessments.
  • Support oral presentations, demonstrations, and customer briefings as needed.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field is required. A valid IAT Level III compliant certification is also required. Applicant selected must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in network architecture and design. Successful candidate must have the ability to analyze and interpret customer requirements and design networking and cybersecurity solutions.

Security Clearance : Candidate selected must maintain and active security clearance. Applicant selected will be subject to a security investigation and must maintain eligibility for access to classified information.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $180,000 to $220,000 (annually).
