Job Summary :

The Cost Accountant position plays a key role in supporting operations, implementing NetSuite, managing product cost bases, ensuring accurate inventory valuation, and supporting financial processes within a dynamic environment. Candidates should be comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment that requires adaptability and proactive problem-solving skills.

Job Responsibilities :

• Oversee month-end closing activities and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Monitor purchases, inventory levels and participate in physical inventory counts to ensure records align with actual stock.
• Update and investigate standard costs to maintain precise cost records.
• Collect and analyze data related to costs of business activities, including material purchases, inventory, and labor.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency.
• Support the development and submission of operating plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Perform sales and margin analysis along with other financial evaluations to support decision-making.
• Maintain detailed documentation to ensure compliance with audit requirements and Sarbanes-Oxley standards.
• Collaborate to address compliance and operational needs.
