ProfTech - CTE Lab Technician - Auto
M - F; 7.0 hpd; specific times to be determined.
Needs to have ability and passion to work with high school aged students, assisting them when asked and needed. The main function of this position is to ensure student safety and productivity as well as assisting with the instructors' needs. Prefer experience in project maintenance and the shop environment. He / she will be mechanically inclined with a general knowledge in engines and basic car care such as oil and tire changes, tire balancing, and basic replacement of some parts. Must be flexible and able to independently address situations, be a problem solver, yet will be willing to cooperate with the instructor in learning different disciplines and systems. Prior Auto experience preferred.
PSE CTE Lab Tech position with pay and benefits according to the terms of the negotiated union agreement. Work only on days of student attendance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with instructors' needs and ensure student safety and productivity in the shop.
- Work with high school aged students; provide guidance as requested.
- Apply basic automotive skills (oil and tire changes, tire balancing, basic part replacements).
- Be mechanically inclined and flexible to address situations; collaborate with instructors across disciplines.

Newly hired employees anticipated to work at least 630 hours in a school year will be eligible for SEBB benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, life and long term disability.Two personal days per year (pro-rated if hired after Semester 1).One sick day per month, in direct ratio to hours worked, after five days are worked in the month.Parental and Bereavement leave is available.Other supplemental contracts - cell phone and travel.Vacation time off depending on 12-month or 10–11-month schedules.Note : For complete job description please view in the position information box.
