Activity / Activities Aide

• Start Date :   ASAP, we have a new employee orientation class starting soon
• Hourly Wage Estimate :    $15.50 / hr + full benefit package
• Shift :   Full-time  8 hour shift
• Schedule : Day / PM shift (schedule to be discussed during interview)

Must be able to work swing shifts : 7 : 30AM - 3 : 30PM, 11 : 00 AM-7 : 00PM, and 11 : 30 AM -7 : 30PM with an every other weekend rotation

Crestwood Terrace is an Intermediate Care Facility, providing care to the mentally ill / behavior health population (ages 21 and up).  Located in a quiet neighborhood, we are one of 3 medical centers on our street.  What makes us unique :

What you will do in this role :

When you are a patient, games and entertainment can be the highlight of your day.  As an Activity / Activities Aide you will help to keep our short term stay residents engaged in their recovery and rehab.  With long-term residents, you will be providing life enrichment events, often focused on cognitive and memory retention.  This could involve leading an exercise group, playing card games, or reading a book to someone that is confined to their room.

Qualifications

Activity / Activities Aide :    Officially we title this job an Activities Aide, but in other centers it may be called an Activity Aide, Activities Assistant, or even a Life Enrichment Coordinator.
