As a Field Appraiser you will capture property information primarily for basic residential, commercial, land, agricultural, mobile home properties and improvements and / or business personal property accounts. You will also collect and record data electronically to conduct appraisal analysis and to support the accuracy of property information used by CAMA to produce mass appraisal models.

We require :
Six months of experience in business, appraisal, or property-related environments such as real estate construction, property inspection, titling mortgage, or other similar environmentsHigh school diploma or GEDPost-secondary education may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basisMust possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona drivers license by the time of hireMileage is reimbursed at the federal rateMust take a class and pass a test on "Introduction to Property Tax" within 30 days of hireMust take a class and pass a test in "Data Collection" within three months of hireWe also value :

Captures property data in a timely and accurate manner by conducting field visits to properties, measuring properties, noting property descriptions, counts, and relevant property characteristicsCanvass for new properties, improvements, special features, changes, or additions to value by traveling to assigned areas or using the desktop review process and aerial photographyGathers information about existing properties and properties under construction from various property representativesDocuments property notes, measurements, field inspection dates, and other information accurately by hard copy or electronically in the systemCreates and updates scaled property drawings based on field measurements, blueprints, plans, or CAD files including property details to accurately represent propertiesEnsures accuracy of data in Assessor's records by performing basic mathematical calculations including determination of square footage, fractions, or decimals using standard formulasContributes to the accuracy and currency of Assessor data by taking photographs and drawing sketches of properties and entering these into Assessor's electronic recordsManages time in the field without direct supervision and organizes work for best production, accuracy, and timely completion, which includes maintaining the daily itinerary and mileage logWorking Conditions :
