Open new case matters, process court documents, and prepare case summaries for discovery. File and case management : Digital and physical files, dates, and deadlines. Assist attorneys and paralegals by organizing documents for court and meetings. Take direction and follow up on assignments. Accurate data entry, tracking, and recording billable hours. Handle client communications with professionalism and empathy, including answering calls and de-escalating situations as needed. Utilize Mac operating systems, Google Suite, MyCase, and other software tools to maintain accurate and accessible case records. Support the development and presentation of legal strategies in family law cases, leveraging technology for effective case management. 2 - 3 years of experience working under an attorney in a family law firm Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program (Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies). This is an in-office position. Remote applications from candidates will not be reviewed.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and proactive, supporting our legal team by coordinating schedules, managing cases, drafting documents, and communicating with clients. This role requires organizational skills, the ability to keep track in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency with legal technology. Prior experience in family law and a commitment to compassionate, high-quality client service are strongly preferred.
