Overview :
The STNA / CNA / NA provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role involves assisting residents with activities of daily living, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and contributing to the overall well-being of residents in a skilled nursing facility.
Responsibilities :
- Provides personal care to residents, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
- Assists with feeding and hydration, monitoring intake and output.
- Assists with ambulation, transfers, and positioning residents to prevent pressure ulcers.
- Takes and records vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respirations).
- Collects and labels specimens as directed.
- Changes bed linens and maintains a clean and sanitary resident environment.
- Reports changes in resident condition to the nursing staff.
- Documents resident care and activities accurately and timely.
- Participates in resident activities and provides companionship.
- Adheres to infection control and safety procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Current and valid STNA / CNA / NA certification in the state of OH.Ability to lift and transfer residents.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work as part of a team.Compassionate and patient demeanor.
