Responsibilities Work in a high-acuity stepdown unit resembling a community hospital ICU Patient population includes adult medical telemetry cases 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM, three days per week EPIC is used for electronic medical records Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital Perform comprehensive assessments and deliver nursing care tailored to patient needs from pediatric through geriatric populations Demonstrate competent clinical and emergency skills, including use of emergency equipment and adherence to patient safety protocols Consistently maintain accurate and thorough documentation following established guidelines Provide patient and family education regarding care, procedures, and discharge instructions Adhere to professional standards, hospital policies, and confidentiality guidelines Uphold National Patient Safety Goals and utilize safe transfer techniques Dress code and scrub requirements will be provided upon assignment Assignment duration is limited to one calendar year, after which a 30–60 day break is required before returning Requirements Active NJ or compact RN license required Minimum of 1 year recent ICU experience required BLS and ACLS certifications required Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred Experience with EPIC charting system preferred Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; locals are not eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624389.
