Job Description

As a Production Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling electrical and mechanical parts into finished products using various tools and assembly process equipment. This role offers an opportunity to cross-train in mechanical, electronic, testing, microscope, soldering, and finishing areas, while frequently using screwdrivers and torque wrenches. You may also hand solder in certain departments and utilize a variety of adhesives and chemicals as needed. Additionally, you will use computer workstations for record-keeping and testing purposes and perform electronic testing on final assemblies using various test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical / mechanical parts into finished products.
  • Cross-train in different areas including mechanical, electronic, testing, microscope, soldering, and finishing.
  • Perform quality control inspection functions.
  • Use screwdrivers and torque wrenches frequently.
  • Conduct hand soldering depending on department requirements.
  • Utilize adhesives and chemicals in the assembly process.
  • Maintain accurate records and perform testing using computer workstations.
  • Perform electronic testing on final assemblies.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds consistently.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with hand tools, soldering, and small screwdrivers.
  • Proficiency in using torque wrenches.
  • Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Experience with soldering and microscope use.
  • Experience with PCB or small part assembly is required.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • EDU Diploma preferred.
  • JSTD certification is highly preferred.

    Work Environment

    Our facility operates from 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday. We provide smocks and safety glasses, though safety toe shoes are required but not provided. The production area is large, supporting various lines for gas and flame detection sensors, and may have a strong epoxy smell in certain areas. We emphasize cross-training to ensure you are placed in a department that aligns with your skills and interests.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 / hr.
