Position Overview :
EnDyna is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to provide high-level oversight and subject-matter leadership for EPAs inspections and audits of transuranic waste characterization and quality assurance programs. The Technical Manager will guide multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers conducting inspections and QA audits of DOE facilities supporting the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) under 40 CFR Part 194.
Location : Various DOE Sites Nationwide (Travel Required)
Responsibilities :
Plan, supervise, and conduct technical audits and inspections at DOE and laboratory sites to assess compliance with EPA and DOE quality standards.
Lead teams of inspectors and subject-matter experts in evaluating radiological characterization processes and QA documentation.
Develop and implement inspection plans, lines of inquiry, and technical checklists in coordination with EPA Task Order Managers.
Oversee preparation of draft and final inspection / audit reports ensuring technical accuracy, 508-compliance, and timely submission.
Provide expert consultation to EPA on QA program evaluation, inspection methodology, and waste certification compliance.
Qualifications :
Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering, Radiological Science, Environmental Engineering, or related technical field (Masters + 4 yrs or Bachelors + 8 yrs may substitute).
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with DOE nuclear operations, waste characterization, or QA / QC program management.
Expertise in ASME NQA-1, EPA QA / R-5, and radiological inspection protocols.
Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating federal technical inspections.
Active DOE Q-Clearance required; only candidates with current clearance will be considered.
