The Design Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and improvement of firetube boilers, with a strong emphasis on steam boiler systems. This role involves performing product analysis and design, supporting manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes such as ASME and NFPA. The engineer will collaborate with various departments including production, purchasing, operations, and sales to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery. Key responsibilities include using SolidWorks and AutoCAD to prepare design documents, resolving fabrication and job site issues, maintaining QA / QC policies, and contributing to product enhancements. The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree (preferably with PE registration), has a minimum of three years’ experience in boilers, pressure vessels, and combustion equipment, and demonstrates strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and adaptability skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ISO 9000 standards are also important, and supervisory or customer-facing experience is a plus.
