Senior Financial Projects Analyst
Syracuse, New York
Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Projects Analyst in the Finance Department to support the Director with all aspects of project management. This role will identify potential projects, analyze and report on financial needs, prepare and distribute reporting, and provide administrative support. The Analyst will also assist with grant administration as requested by the Director.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide financial analysis and reporting on assigned projects, including tracking incremental costs, savings, and return on investment (ROI).
- Review, interpret, and analyze agreements and contracts for potential engagements to ensure organizational benefit.
- Maintain current project status to provide accurate reporting on progress, next steps, and financial impact.
- Assist leadership with communications to internal and external stakeholders, including preparing agendas, leading calls, and developing presentations.
- Track organizational grants, including awarded amounts, funds received, and reconciliation of variances.
- Coordinate with other departments to understand needs, opportunities, and ensure financial alignment.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timeframes and budgets are met or exceeded.
- Participate in hospital-wide initiatives, embracing innovation, quality, and service excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by departmental leadership.
REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field.Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in public or hospital accounting.Previous experience in healthcare industry, preferredWorking knowledge of general ledger and accrual basis accounting.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.BASE SALARY RANGE : Starting at $75,000 annually
