Overview
Graduate Engineer II at LJA Land Development, performing entry-level professional engineering work including developmental assignments involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under close supervision.
Responsibilities
- Design specific system components for the overall design effort.
- Perform design calculations, prepare equipment or material specifications, and provide direction to technical support or drafting personnel.
- Investigate a limited number of variables; supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems and possible solutions.
- Determine additional information needed from internal clients and coordinate directly with LJA.
- Make basic decisions regarding alternative procedures when information is not given.
- Apply prescribed methods to complete limited and specific portions of the broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Adjust and correlate data.
- Recognize discrepancies in results and follow operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
- May exercise limited judgment in making preliminary method selections and adopting alternatives.
Required Education / Licenses
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.EIT License required.Required Qualifications
