What we're looking for :
- Lead and oversee all aspects of environmental compliance at the facility.
- Manage site environmental personnel and ensure team is aligned to support EHS goals and improvement strategies.
- Champion a holistic approach to environmental management, incorporating the broader socio-political, legal, and economic landscape into our strategies.
- Collaborate and engage with relevant regulatory authorities such as the EPA, TCEQ, Corp of Engineers, and others, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory programs.
- Spearhead the development and implementation of robust processes, procedures, and practices to foster a compliant, healthy, safe, and secure operational environment.
- Foster strong interdepartmental relationships, promote alignment with various corporate support groups, and cultivate meaningful partnerships with external stakeholders on behalf of Indorama.
- Management of environmental programs in compliance with USA laws, regulations & codes (EPA, TCEQ, DHS, CFATs, OSHA-PSM etc.).
- Collaboration of activities with the corporate EHS, Maintenance, Technical and Purchasing departments.
- Collaboration with USA locations and public organizations (LEPC, BAYCAP, etc.) in development of EHS programs in support of USA regional operations (i.e. RCRA, CERCLA, etc.)
- Department meets or exceeds environmental metric targets (regulatory reporting, obtaining permits, regional inspections & audits), as well as participating in local EHS committees and participation in corporate committees.
- Implementation and management of environmental training.
- Ensure that the MOC submitted for approvals meet all the engineering and regulatory design requirements.
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
8+ years of Environmental ExperienceProficiency with Microsoft Office programsAbove average proficiency in Clean Air Act regulations, proficient in waste and wastewater regulationsPetro chemical plant operationsKnowledgeable in environmental laws and regulationsStrong oral and written communications, including the ability to effectively present to both large and small groupsIf applicable, the ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure the required staffing capacity to meet objectives.What do we offer?
