Medical Assistant-Triage

About the Role :

Women's Integrated Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and highly organized Triage Medical Assistant to join our dedicated women’s health team. This is a critical role that serves as the first clinical point of contact for our patients, assessing and prioritizing their medical needs. Key Responsibilities :

• Perform telephonic and electronic triage by assessing patient symptoms and concerns to determine the urgency of their needs.
• Effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and other staff members to coordinate patient care.
• Provide patient education and medical advice based on established clinical protocols and provider instructions.
• Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care coordination in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Manage incoming patient messages and prescription refill requests, ensuring timely follow-up.
• Assist in scheduling appointments based on patient acuity and urgency.
• Process lab results and other patient correspondence as directed by the provider.
• Handle sensitive patient information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
