The Senior Account Director will oversee a portfolio of complex, enterprise-level brands, acting as the senior point of contact and ensuring programs deliver measurable growth across affiliate, influencer, and connected channels. The role blends strategic oversight, commercial accountability, and thought leadership — serving as both a trusted partner to clients and a coach to internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Leadership & Engagement : act as the senior relationship manager for a portfolio of enterprise clients, building trust and credibility across stakeholder groups — from day-to-day contacts to C-Suite.
- Deeply understand client businesses, aligning affiliate and influencer strategies with broader brand goals and marketing channels (Paid Search, SEO, PR, content, etc.).
- Anticipate risks, address challenges proactively, and act as the escalation point for complex issues.
- Deliver high-quality outputs including QBRs, strategy decks, forecasts, and executive-level presentations.
- Strategic Thinking & Market Innovation : translate client objectives and data into forward-thinking partnership strategies that drive measurable outcomes.
- Leverage insights, market trends, and new publisher models to proactively identify growth opportunities.
- Serve as a thought leader — challenging assumptions, bringing fresh perspectives, and framing recommendations with strong storytelling tailored to senior audiences.
- Push teams and clients to adopt innovative, test-and-learn approaches, balancing risk with opportunity.
- Commercial Accountability & Growth : own revenue performance across client portfolio, consistently achieving and exceeding retention and growth targets.
- Identify and close expansion opportunities (scope, geographic, or service), articulating clear business value for clients.
- Play an active role in new business development — pitching, storytelling, and positioning Acceleration Partners as the strategic partner of choice.
- Leadership, Coaching & Influence : provide direction and guidance to account teams (Account Directors, Managers, and cross-functional Services teams).
- Coach and mentor team members, ensuring high standards in client delivery, strategy, and communication.
- Influence across mixed-accountability teams, driving collaboration and alignment without always relying on direct line management.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and solution-oriented problem solving.

8+ years in digital marketing, e-commerce, or affiliate / partnership marketing (agency or in-house).Proven track record managing large, complex, enterprise-level clients.Expertise in affiliate tracking platforms (Impact, Awin, etc.).Strong commercial acumen with experience managing and growing revenue targets.High proficiency in Microsoft Office and presentation / storytelling skills.Experience leading or influencing large account teams and coaching senior team members.Strong analytical skills and ability to use data / insights to drive strategic decisions.Success Measures
By 6 months : Established trusted relationships with key client contacts, delivering strategic direction and measurable outcomes across multiple programs. Coaching teams effectively, with high client satisfaction scores.
By 1 year : Delivering consistent client and revenue growth across portfolio; positioned as the go-to strategic advisor for clients. Clients actively expanding the scope of work, teams performing at a high standard, and satisfaction scores consistently 8+.
