Seniority Level : Associate or Counsel (based on experience)

Licensing Requirement : Active licenses in Missouri and Kansas required; Arkansas bar admission is a strong asset.

About The Opportunity

A highly regarded litigation boutique is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its Kansas City office. This firm, known for its focus on complex commercial disputes and insurance defense matters, is looking for a lawyer with at least five years of hands-on litigation experience , ideally in insurance defense and coverage

Candidates should be capable of independently managing files, conducting thorough discovery, and representing clients in court with confidence. Experience across state lines, especially in Arkansas , is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle litigation files independently from intake through resolution.
• Conduct detailed fact investigations and legal analysis.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Manage document productions and prepare discovery materials.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Review and interpret insurance policies, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, including oral arguments.
• Support trial strategy, including direct and cross-examination of witnesses.
• Collaborate closely with litigation teams and provide mentorship as needed.
