About the Job : SUMMARY :

We are searching for a PRN team member with Medical Assistant & Medical Scheduling skills to work in our clinics. Our ideal candidate will have great interpersonal communication skills.  This is currently a PRN position to help cover in our Houston area clinics in and around Houston.  We have clinics in other areas of Texas also.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Make outbound calls and take inbound calls.
  • Ensure the office has correct demographic and insurance information on file.
  • Schedule patients for yearly exams.
  • Assist patients with scheduling appointments.
  • Perform the MA portion of our advanced wellness testing.
  • Call on campaigns to schedule.
  • Meet weekly and monthly scheduling goals.
  • Proactively implement and execute scheduling processes.
  • Comfort patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering patient questions.
  • Update patient records.
  • Follow all HIPAA regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • At least 1 year of clinic experience.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Experience with EMR Systems. Preferably ECW and Athena.
  • POSITIVE, professional attitude and code of conduct.
  • Excellent, professional communication skills.
  • Ability to schedule / encourage pts to schedule.

    • Job Type : PRN - as needed.

    Pay : $19.00 - $21.00 per hour.

    Schedule :

  • Up to an 8-hour shift.
  • Monday to Friday occasional Saturdays.

    • Work Location : In person.
