Rehabilitation / Mobility Tech

The Rehabilitation and Mobility Technician works collaboratively with licensed nursing staff and rehabilitation professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to provide essential patient care support in an inpatient acute care setting. This role functions under the direct supervision of licensed medical personnel and plays a key part in promoting patient mobility and recovery.

Responsibilities include :

  • Assisting patients with mobility activities and therapeutic exercises as directed by licensed clinicians.
  • Supporting rehabilitation sessions and patient care procedures by preparing equipment and ensuring a safe environment.
  • Managing and maintaining rehabilitation and mobility equipment, ensuring availability and cleanliness.
  • Promoting the importance of early and ongoing mobility to patients and families in alignment with clinical care plans.
  • Providing hands-on assistance during therapy sessions and mobility activities, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Providing for a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
  • Actively participating in professional growth activities and maintaining necessary skills and competencies.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Education : High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Experience : No experience required. Relevant experience preferred.
  • Licensure : American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
  • Physical Demands :

  • Job requires frequently bending / stooping / traveling.
  • Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
  • Ability to lift / push / pull 20 - 50lbs.
  • May be exposed to blood / body fluids and infectious disease.
  • Position Compensation Range : $15.00 - $19.93 Hourly
