Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

We are currently looking for a passionate Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our growing team!

As an EFDA, you'll play a vital role in assisting our professional dental staff, providing care, and supporting our community outreach efforts. Key Responsibilities :

• Engage with the community by participating in local events, including school screenings and presentations.
• Contribute to morning huddles, demonstrating appreciation for your peers and highlighting outstanding teamwork.
• Provide quality and compassionate care to every patient, particularly our pediatric patients (70% or more of our clientele).
• Guide patients and their parents through treatment processes and educate them on oral hygiene practices.
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatment, ensuring operational readiness of hygiene bays and operatory rooms.
• Take x-rays and document patient information (dependent on location).
• Assist in dental procedures, from preparing tray set-ups to sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Support the dental staff during treatments, including surgical procedures and placing fillings and crowns.
• Adhere to all compliance programs and government regulations with integrity.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.
