APR is looking for a Fleet Manager that shares our core values of Safety, Integrity & Teamwork and want to contribute to our collective purpose of providing Safer Roads Through Quality Service.

Responsibilities :

  • Support operations by maintaining and scheduling repairs on trucks and various portable equipment. Work within scheduling of Operations.
  • Implement maintenance programs tailored to meet the needs of various trucks and equipment. Examples include Lube services by miles, transmission services by miles, hydraulic and compressor services by hours, omsi / creep drive services by hours / miles, and small equipment programs.
  • Track mileage and hour meters, state inspections, and next due for service by data entry into B2W / excel.
  • Maintain and sign off work order records, dvir's, time cards and purchase orders.
  • Communicate with operations and the crews to address their needs and keep a good flow of information between those involved.
  • Support the mechanics by making sure they have what they need to perform their tasks well, safely and in a timely manner. This also includes making sure their time / payroll is correct and their personal leave needs addressed.
  • Inventory management and shop cleanliness
  • Parts ordering if parts manager not available. Oversee parts purchasing and inventory.
  • Assist in asset purchasing and life cycles of trucks and equipment based on factual data.
  • EZ pass, GPS, lettering management.
  • High mileage to county for tax deductions
  • Dealer warranties
  • Build relationships with outside vendors and sales representatives, work on pricing to stay competitive
  • Keep good records of repairs on trucks / equipment, able to provide reports based on repair hours and costs.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Solid organization skills, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of wide range of vehicles and equipment. Also, where to find various parts.
  • Ability to input and analyze data to provide factual reports
  • Computer skills, ability to type, knowledge of various apps and programs.
  • Stay up to date on latest items, classes, fluid specs etc as needed.
  • Team player mindset, able to handle various things at the same time, and good personal skills.
