Unit Specifics :

Number of Beds : 20 LDRPs, 5 OB assessment beds

Patient Ratios : 1 : 3-4 couplets, 1 : 1 for all active labors, VBACs, Laboring Magnesium sulfate, Laboring

Insulin. 1 : 1-2 for triage, early labor / cervical ripening.

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Unit secretary m-f, PCT m-f 0300-1130 OB Scrub tech 24 / 7.

Type of equipment : GE fetal monitors, novii’s

Documentation system : CPN and Meditech

Scheduling requirements : Utilize Timpani scheduling. Preferences highly considered.

Floating policy : No floating.

Patient Experience requirements : Bedside shift report every shift, every time.

Hospital Specifics-

Certifications : BLS, NRP, Stable, Awhonn Intermediate fetal monitoring
