Job Posting : Adjunct Faculty - Cybersecurity

MIU City University Miami

MIU City University Miami is seeking highly qualified adjunct faculty members to join our team and teach on-campus courses in Cybersecurity. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are passionate about education and have expertise in the following subject areas :

  • Cybercrime and Cybersecurity Regulations
  • Cybersecurity Governance and Risk Analysis
  • Computer Forensics and Incident Response
  • System, Application, and Big Data Security
  • Network Security and Intelligent Threat Analysis
  • Secure Software Development and Auditing

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Possess a terminal degree (Ph.D., D.Sc., or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience teaching in higher education, with familiarity in using Canvas as a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Ability to teach on campus at MIU City University Miami.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, Cisco Cybersecurity Professional (CCP), Cisco Certified Specialist- Cybersecurity Forensic Analysis and Incident Response or equivalent.
  • Experience in curriculum development and instructional design for cybersecurity courses.
  • Hands-on industry experience in cybersecurity, digital forensics, or risk management.

    • Responsibilities :

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in accordance with the university’s curriculum.
  • Utilize Canvas LMS to facilitate course materials, assignments, and student engagement.
  • Assess and evaluate student learning outcomes.
  • Provide mentorship and academic support to students.
  • Maintain academic and professional integrity in teaching and research.

    Application Process :

  • A current curriculum vitae (CV).
  • Copies of academic transcripts (official transcripts required upon hiring).
  • Contact information for three professional references.

    • Essential functions

  • Assist and conduct classes on a weekly basis on campus.
  • Review and update syllabus and all materials related to the assigned course.
  • Active management of student’s forum and request through the LMS.
  • Assess and guide students on all the completion of their evaluated assignments and tests.
  • Elaborate by submitting on a timely basis the Grading Report
  • Participate as a Jury member for Capstone dissertations at the end of the semester.
  • Participate and engage with all Faculty training, activities, and meetings.
