job_description.job_card.job_descriptionCoordinates deliveries for all food service vendors, including checking, receiving and storing of all deliveries. Purchases infant formulas, paper products, and paper / coffee products for Caf. Stocks, properly rotates, and maintains appropriate stock levels of items with set par levels. Discards expired formula on a monthly basis. Purchases specialty pediatric products and all food, beverages, and supplies. Maintains supplies, drinks, and formula in the disaster area store room. Includes logging of expiration dates, rotating stock, and disposing of expired products appropriately. Assists in the safe handling of food and safe storage in regards to all products. Logs store room temperature daily. Follows HACCP guidelines. Maintains knowledge and capability of cleaning / sanitizing and storing pots and pans. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Includes mopping cooler floors and flattening all cardboard. Plans and anticipates work, looking ahead to see that items are available for the next day and prepares as necessary. Pulls appropriate products for cooks to use for upcoming week. Organizes and cleans dry storage areas, coolers and freezers daily. Willingly accepts any other assignments that may be requested. Maintains knowledge and capabilities of delivery and setting up for events and other hospital functions. Communicates essential information to others (telephone messages, product shortages) in a timely manner. Represents the organization in a positive manner during interactions with vendors, suppliers, and customers. Demonstrates teamwork and the spirit of cooperation at all times. Volunteers to assist others. Utilizes time and other hospital resources appropriately. Maintains accurate and timely inventory within assigned responsibility. Note : Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Light lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 10-20 lbs occasionally and frequent moving of objects of less than 10 lbs is required. Frequent sitting with some walking, standing, squatting, bending and reaching is required. Keyboard / computer use and / or repetitive motions may be required.

Assists with the purchasing and ordering of supplies and products to be utilized in the Food Service areas. Performs duties related to the safe handling of food and supplies.

Supervisory Responsibilities : NO
Minimum Education : High School Diploma / GED Preferred
License / Certification Required : None
Minimum Work Experience : 1-3 years in a food service setting. Hospital food service experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work independently. Basic math skills. Knowledge of ordering procedures, par levels, and food safety principles. Proficient in Excel. Organization skills.
