The Accounts & Billing Coordinator plays a key role in the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process by ensuring accurate billing, timely insurance claim submission, and effective patient account management. This position is responsible for posting payments, reviewing and following up on claims, resolving billing issues, and serving as a liaison between patients, staff, and insurance carriers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in dental insurance and CDT coding, and committed to delivering excellent patient service while supporting the financial success of the practice.
Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties :
- Post insurance payments, adjustments, and patient payments to ledgers.
- Communicate balances due to patients and set up payment arrangements as needed.
- Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims (electronic and paper) in a timely manner.
- Verify accuracy of CDT coding and required documentation prior to submission.
- Track outstanding claims and follow up on unpaid or denied claims within timely filing limits.
- Resubmit corrected claims or file appeals as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of payer guidelines, downgrades, and exclusions.
- Audit patient accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support offices with billing-related questions and troubleshooting.
- Act as a liaison between insurance carriers, staff, and patients to resolve concerns and maintain positive relationships.
- Ensure all insurance-related duties are completed accurately and on time to support excellent patient relations and the financial success of the practice.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to patient needs and inquiries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Two plus years preparing copay estimates, claim resolution, and insurance verification - Preferably in DentalAccounts receivable experience - Preferably in DentalPositive attitude with focus on positive patient experienceExceptional organization and communication skillsBookkeeping skills; basic knowledge of accountingExcellent organization skills and strong attention to detailMulti-tasker with the ability to prioritize work accordinglyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work autonomously under the pressure of tight deadlines and multiple prioritiesProficient in Excel, Word, and OutlookA Plus If You Also Have (preferred, but not required) :
