  • Assembles extensive information that is relevant to the healthcare consumer's health and situation.\n
  • Synthesize the assessment data to pinpoint the diagnosis or problems.\n
  • Illustrates expected results for a plan tailored to the individual healthcare consumer's needs.\n
  • Develops a plan that recommends approaches and different options to attain desired results.\n
  • Executes the prescribed plan and facilitates the patient's progress within the plan.\n
  • The coordination of care ensures the effective organization of healthcare delivery.\n
  • Health teaching and promotion utilize techniques to support health and ensure a safe surrounding.\n
  • Advanced practice registered nurses and nursing role specialists engage in consultation to influence the determined plan, elevate the capabilities of individuals, and bring about change.\n
  • Reviews the progress towards the accomplishment of goals.\n\nFollows the ANA Standards of Professional Performance (2010) : \n
  • Enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice through structured methods\n

  • A Registered Professional Nurse is required to practice within the legal boundaries defined by the state of employment, ensuring that their care is competent, consistent with industry standards, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.\n
  • Comports oneself within the framework of the Code of Ethics for Nurses (ANA 2010).\n\nShows mastery in applying appropriate technology and software tools : \n
  • Assist in documenting nursing tasks and the care provided to patients.\n
  • Utilize necessary business tools, such as company email, iLearn modules, employee engagement surveys, and information about benefits and policies, to actively participate in the organization as a committed team member.\n

  • Fulfilling any other duties as required.\n\nAdditional Requirements\n\nRequired : \n\nEducation - Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing\n\nCertifications - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) - Within 60 days of hire or transfer; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing\n\nRegarding BLS certification : \n\nThe department you are applying to may require BLS certification sooner than 60 days post transfer / hire. The hiring manager will discuss this with you if it is applicable.\n\nPreferred : \n\nExperience - 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience\n\nEducation - Bachelors degree in Nursing\n\nPhysical Requirements : \n\nVery Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and / or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and / or more than 100 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and / or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances.
