Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele / IMC Float Pool position requiring recent Epic experience and advanced Tele / IMC skills.

Responsibilities

Position is in the Float Pool covering Med / Surg Tele and Intermediate Care (IMC) units in a hospital setting

Must be able to float between Med / Surg (MS) and IMC units as assigned

Patient ratios typically range from 1 : 4 to 1 : 6

Cares for adult patients with acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe CHF, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and trauma

Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 19 : 00 to 07 : 00

May encounter a varied patient population with complex and acute clinical conditions

Mandatory completion of online modules during orientation and annually, with module hours factored into onboarding

Time-off requests (RTO) must be disclosed prior to consideration

Two professional references required

First-time travelers are accepted

Requirements

Active MD or compact RN license required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

At least 2 years of recent Telemetry experience in a hospital setting required

At least 2 years of prior experience on an IMC unit required

Recent Med / Surg Telemetry experience required

Recent EPIC EMR experience required

Flu shot and 2-step PPD required
