About The Position

Job Title : RN - Endoscopy Procedures

Experience : 3-5 years in endoscopy procedures and equipment

License : RN License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Must-Have :

Experience with ERCP, upper / lower endoscopy, EUS, and Spyglass procedures.

Procedure room experience with 3-5 years in endoscopic procedures and equipment.

EPIC experience is required.

Primarily circulates but can scrub basic tech cases.

Experience in prep and post areas with 2-4 years recovering patients from moderate sedation.

Telemetry experience is a plus.

Description :

The position involves working in a fast-paced environment performing endoscopic procedures.

You will be responsible for circulating in procedure rooms and scrubbing basic tech cases.

Preparation and recovery of patients post-moderate sedation will be key components of the role.

You are expected to follow ASPN guidelines regarding patient ratios.

Support on the unit includes a charge nurse who may take patient assignments.

Phlebotomy services are available.

Telemetry monitoring occurs at the nursing station.

An IV / VAT team is available for hard sticks, PICC lines, and midlines.

A resource nurse is available for support during the night.

Respiratory therapists are in-house as needed.

Occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy teams are available during the week.

Charting and equipment include EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis systems.

Weekend rotation is required, working every other Saturday.

Time off can be approved for up to one week.

Holiday expectations are defined for summer and winter periods.

Call requirements will vary based on unit needs.

Scrub color will be navy or procedural based on the area worked.

No artificial fingernails or extenders are permitted when having direct patient care.

Natural nail tips must be kept less than a quarter-inch long.
