Heavy Equipment Operator

The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate a variety of equipment including excavators, rollers, loaders, dozers, skidsteers, etc. on construction projects including but not limited to heavy highway, airports, bridges, landfill remediation, etc.

Essential Job Functions

• Operates various equipment including excavators, rollers, loaders, dozers, skidsteers, etc. on a variety of construction projects including but not limited to heavy highway, airports, bridges, landfill remediation, etc.
• Performs routine inspection and maintenance on equipment such as checking oil, water, and tires.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Maintains a clean and secure jobsite
• Demonstrates adherence to Rifenburg Safety Rules, Regulations, and internal procedures.
• Demonstrates adherence to Rifenburg core values to foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Experience / Education

This position requires extensive knowledge of heavy equipment operations within the construction industry, or similar role. 5-10 years' experience required.

Required Skills :

Qualified applicants may be called by the Division Manager throughout the season as our work load requires. (Experienced applicants with OSHA 10 Certification will be called first)
