Marketing Executive | Chief Marketing Officer | Revenue, Performance and Growth Focused | Data Driven, Brand & Digital Transformation, MarTech Expert
The role
This is an extremely client-facing, hands-on Creative Lead role. About 90% of your time will be spent making and directing creative for clients—concepting, designing, writing, editing, animating, and shipping work across channels. The remaining 10% supports the pitchblende brand (case studies, templates, and core brand system). There is no in-house creative team today; you’ll operate as the senior maker-director and selectively orchestrate a small bench of freelancers when needed.
What you’ll own
- Client-facing leadership : Be the creative front door—run discovery, workshops, and reviews; present to executives with clarity and confidence; turn feedback into decisive next steps.
- Creative vision & standards : Set the bar for quality across client accounts and the pitchblende brand; maintain scalable guidelines, templates, and file hygiene.
- Concepting & storytelling : Translate insights into clear narratives for campaigns, brand platforms, product stories, and executive-ready decks.
- Video & motion : Lead end-to-end production—concepting, scripting, storyboarding, capture coordination, editing, motion graphics, titling, and sound—across long-form (explainers, case films, webinars) and short-form (paid social, reels, teasers).
- Illustration & visual language : Create or direct original illustrations and iconography for static assets and animated sequences; establish a distinctive visual style that travels across formats.
- After Effects craftsmanship : Build modular motion systems (lower thirds, transitions, logo stings, data callouts) and reusable templates for fast, consistent production.
- Digital experiences : Oversee UX / UI for sites and high-converting landing pages (Figma to Webflow / WordPress handoff) with accessibility and performance in mind.
- AI-assisted creation (when it adds value) : Use AI responsibly for ideation, storyboarding, image generation / cleanup, captioning, and versioning—without sacrificing originality or brand standards.
- Freelance bench orchestration : Maintain a small, trusted roster; write airtight briefs; quality‑control deliverables; scale resources up / down based on scope.
- Creative operations : Improve briefs, timelines, QA, and delivery workflows to keep projects on-brand, on-time, and production-ready.
What you’ve done
8–12+ years in creative / design with hands-on experience shipping work personally and directing external partners.Portfolio shows B2B excellence (healthcare / healthtech, employer benefits, pro services, or industrial) across brand, web, campaign creative, and motion.Client presence : Comfortable leading the room with C‑suite buyers—facilitating workshops, presenting work, and fielding feedback live.Motion & animation : Advanced Adobe After Effects (expressions, parenting, 2.5D, typography animation, data viz callouts) and Premiere Pro for editorial.Illustration : Strong vector skills (Illustrator or equivalent) and experience translating static illustration into animated sequences; storyboard / animatic chops.Design tools : Mastery of Figma and Adobe CC; familiarity with Webflow / WordPress workflows and collaborating with dev.Writing sensibility : Headlines, scripts, lower‑thirds, and narrative scaffolds; able to coach freelancers and polish client‑facing narratives.AI literacy : Practical experience with modern AI tools (image generation, cleanup, captioning, voiceover assistance, layout ideation) and judgment on when to use them.About pitchblende
