job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork in a hospital-based cardiac cath lab specializing in diagnostic and interventional cardiology and endovascular peripheral interventions Adult patient population with cases including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, Impella, laser-assisted procedures, and peripheral angiography Siemens equipment and Cerner EMR are used; Cerner experience preferred 4x10 hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM or 5x8 hour shifts from 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM as needed On call required : one weekday per week and one weekend every 4-6 weeks, including holidays Travelers may be required to float within scope as needed Perform high-technology endovascular procedures under physician direction for diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular disease Responsibilities include monitoring patient hemodynamics, documenting during procedures, scrubbing to assist physicians, and preparing access sites Must maintain licensure and education requirements, attend mandatory meetings, and complete competency assessments Scrubs are provided by the facility Orientation is held every other Thursday and includes required modules to be completed pre-start Permanent employees must wait 2 years after last date worked to be eligible as a traveler Applicants must live at least 100 miles from the facility (75-100 mile exceptions considered case-by-case) Current employees of the related health system or subsidiaries are not eligible for travel contracts at this facility Graduation from an approved School of Radiologic Technology Minimum of 1.5-2 years experience in a diagnostic cardiac cath lab and interventional procedures Travel healthcare experience required Current ARRT certification R.T.(R) required; ARRT CI certification preferred Current BLS and ACLS required (American Heart Association if specified by unit) WV Medical Imaging License required (license required if applicable); may submit with license pending but must post prior to start Physical ability to frequently lift / carry up to 25 lbs, maximum 50 lbs Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, arrhythmia recognition, vascular closure systems, scrub / circulating, and operating Siemens equipment Two manager or charge references from within the past two years required for consideration High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
