Salary : SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
DSP is looking for a Concrete Finisher Foreman to lead and manage concrete crews, ensuring the successful completion of concrete-related tasks on a project. They will be responsible for overseeing the layout, formwork, pouring, and finishing of concrete, as well as the setup and maintenance of equipment and the safety of the crew. They will also play a key role in project planning, scheduling, and communication with other teams.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and direct concrete crews, assign tasks, and ensure efficient workflow
- Reviewing blueprints, setting up forms, installing rebar, and ensuring proper concrete placement and finishing techniques
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of concrete equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring adequate material supply
- Enforce safety regulations, conduct pre-job inspections, and promote a safe working environment
- Inspect finished concrete work, identify and correct defects, and ensure work meets project specifications
- Communicate project status to clients, management, and other teams, and maintain accurate records of work progress, materials, and labor
- Train new crew members on proper techniques and safety procedures
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during the construction process
QUALIFICATIONS (Skills, Knowledge, Experience)
Experience as a Concrete Foreman or similar roleExperience running a commercial concrete site and interior floor workIn-depth understanding of concrete layout, formwork, pouring, finishing, curing, and saw cuttingAbility to use a tablet to access and use construction related documents, record daily log information, timekeeping, and production recordingStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility and willingness to comply with corporate and MIOSHA safety regulationsAbility to quickly assess and resolve issues on a job siteUnderstanding of ADA and building code regulationsAbility to interpret and understand blueprints and project plansAbility to estimate labor and material needs before and during projectsCORE VALUES
