Sr. DevSecOps Engineer

HumanIT is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support a mission at Beavercreek, OH or remotely. In this role, you will be leading, managing, and solving complex problems for a development team through day-to-day operations throughout the complete development cycle. You will be responsible for setting up and managing the development environment, configuring, and maintaining cloud services, and managing CI / CD pipelines for management of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) baseline.

You will have experience working with software development teams, maintaining compliance and security controls, monitoring operations, and improving development processes when needed. You must be highly organized and competent in Agile and DevSecOps principles. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications :

• Experience with commercial cloud service providers.
• Experience with private cloud technologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Experience implementing CI / CD pipelines.
• Experience with containers and container orchestration systems.
• Experience using scripting languages to automate routine tasks.
• Experience deploying and maintaining highly available fault-tolerant systems at scale.
• Experience with agile software development processes.
• Effective communication skills.
• Exceptional technical writing skills.
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies is preferred : Linux (Redhat or Centos preferred)
• AWS or Azure
• OpenStack
• Docker or similar container technology
• Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, OpenShift or similar container orchestration technology
• Istio or similar service mesh technology
• Helm or similar package manager for Kubernetes
• Terraform, CHEF, Puppet or similar Infrastructure as Code tools
• Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby, Golang or similar scripting languages
• Prometheus / Grafana or other monitoring tools

Desired Skills :

Education : 8 years' experience with Bachelors in related field or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant experience. The Bachelor's degree needs to be in computer science, mathematics, software engineering, or related discipline.
