Job Summary

As a Certified Nurse Aide, you'll be an integral part of our nursing home team, offering care for residents, including psychiatric and rehabilitative patients. This role encompasses both direct and indirect patient care activities, following all established policies and procedures. You'll also maintain a safe, clean environment for patients.

Reporting Structure

Reports to Registered Nurse (RN) and / or Director of Nursing (DON).

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care : Provide personal hygiene assistance and support with activities of daily living.
• Medical Support : Assist the nursing staff with medical tasks like enemas, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, and vital checks.
• Observation & Reporting : Monitor changes in patient conditions and report to the supervising nurse.
• Teamwork : Work effectively as a team member and assist in the orientation of new employees.
• Safety : Maintain a safe and attractive environment, adhering to healthcare best practices like hand hygiene.

Qualifications

Education : High school graduate or final-year enrollee. Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant course preferred.

Experience : 6-12 months in a nursing home setting with acceptable references. Must pass pre-employment test for nursing assistants.

License / Certification : Must hold valid Certified Nurse Assistant privileges in the State of Tennessee.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

High school graduate or currently enrolled in final year of high school.

Successful completion of nursing assistant course and completion of state requirements for certification preferred.

Work Experience

Six (6) months to 1 year nursing home experience with acceptable references required.

Must pass the pre-employment test for nursing assistant.

License / Certification

Certified Nurse Assistant privileges in the State of Tennessee required
